I will be coming in to the gorgeous Waterstone's bookshop in Convent Garden on Tuesday 3rd September to discuss my debut novel Burial Rites . Join me for an evening of revelations, questions, chit-chat and complimentary drinks and nibbles. I'll also be signing copies afterwards.

A four-day festival celebrating the best of literature, theatre, film and music from and about Australia and New Zealand will be staged in London for the first time in May 2014.
The festival aims to showcase the countries' roll call of writers and creative talent, and to present the best stories from and about Australia and New Zealand.
As part of the festival build-up, a programme of events has been planned to celebrate the cultural influence of both countries. The first of these, a Literary BBQ, will be hosted on the 29th of August at the Lyric Theatre, Hammersmith.
I am one of the fortunate writers (along with Craig Silvey, Courtney Collins and Eleanor Catton) who will be attending this event of great food, live literature, music and short film. If you're based in London, please do come along to say hello.

I'm very pleased to announce that the UK publication of Burial Rites will be launched in London on the 28th of August at 7pm.
The event will be held inside the Rotherhithe Shaft in the Brunel Museum (people who suffer from claustrophobia might want to skip this one), and Icelandic drinks and nibbles will be served.
NOTE: The guest list is now closed as the event space has been booked to capacity. Apologies to those who may miss out - I'll be sure to post some pictures of the night up afterwards.
