Hannah Kent is the author of the best- selling novel Burial Rites, the story of Agnes Magnusdottir, the last person to be executed in Iceland. Hannah won the inaugural Writer Australia Unpublished Manuscript Award and since its publication in 2013, Burial Rites has been translated into nearly thirty languages and has received numerous awards and nominations. Hannah is also the co-founder of Australian literary journal Kill Your Darlings.
Her new novel is The Good People, a story of three women brought together by strange and troubling events in Ireland in 1825.
